Ravalli County Prevention CoalitionSubstance abuse is an urgent issue in Ravalli County. In 2006 Ravalli County was identified as one of the top 15 regions in the nation for youth 12 and older to meet the criteria for alcohol addiction.In 1999, the Ravalli County Prevention Coalition (RCPC) was formed in response to this growing crisis. Bringing together a diverse cross-section of stakeholders, including public and private agencies and schools. RCPC set out to creatively plan effective strategies. The RCPC is a proactive, inter-community network that supports youth and their families in reducing substance abuse and achieving successful productive lives. This is accomplished through policy and development initiatives, developing strong community partnerships, media campaigns and educational opportunities. Read our newsletter here.
